Audrey Cameron


Audrey is an associate in our Corporate department.
She joined us from Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) where she was the director of legal and administrative services responsible for dealing with some of the largest transport projects in Scotland. She was particularly involved in contractual and procurement matters and all aspects of public administrative law.
In addition to working with SPT Audrey has also worked for a number of local authorities and therefore knows the public sector and the issues facing them inside and out. This means that she can genuinely provide a service tailored to the public sector’s needs.
Audrey has detailed practical knowledge and understanding of EU procurement.
She has wide experience in transport projects including rail, ferry and bus related projects.
She has significant experience in the management of an in-house legal function within the public sector which includes experience of best value and its application to a legal resource.
Audrey has practical knowledge of corporate governance and has set up various procedures such as standing orders for committees, schemes of delegation and standing orders relating to contracts. She has also provided specialist advice in relation to matters of governance in local government.
She has experience in setting up procedures for tendering and procurement including setting up framework arrangements and practice notes for clients on procurement.
As well as drafting and negotiating a number of large complicated transport projects such as the re-development of East Kilbride Bus Station and Partick Interchange, she also led the legal team who successfully steered the Glasgow Airport Rail Link Act through the parliamentary process and was responsible for the negotiation and drafting of complex agreements with objectors.
Other significant transport projects include contractual arrangements in respect of rolling stock.
