Alistair Murdoch
Alistair is an Associate in our Dispute Resolution Department, with responsibility for Commercial Litigation in our Glasgow Office. He is also a Solicitor Advocate with extended rights of audience in the Court of Session, Supreme Court and Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.
Alistair has over 20 years' experience of civil court practice and has appeared regularly in the Sheriff Courts, both Houses of the Court of Session, and various other Tribunals. He has frequent experience of the Commercial Courts in both the Sheriff Court and the Court of Session. He has also represented clients at Arbitration and Mediation.
His background is largely in Commercial Litigation but he has a very wide range of experience including contractual disputes, insolvency, debt recovery, property litigation, employment, reparation and insurance work.
Always prepared to argue cases in court, Alistair nevertheless recognises the economic commitment of proceeding with litigation and always seeks to provide his clients with pragmatic and commercial advice in addition to the sound legal advice they expect.
He has also been invited to tutor in Civil Court Practice on the forthcoming Diploma in Legal Practice course at Glasgow University.
