Anderson Strathern has made two senior appointments to its partnership taking partner numbers to 57 and further strengthening its position as one of Scotland’s largest full-service law firms.

Leigh Davidson, an accredited IP specialist, joins Anderson Strathern’s Corporate Department from Lindsays where she headed their Education Sector Group. Leigh is dual qualified and specialises in intellectual property, information technology, e-commerce and commercial contracts for clients ranging from biotech SMEs to leading research institutions. Leigh is a highly regarded legal practitioner described by leading legal directory Chambers and Partners, as "a true IP specialist who really knows her stuff". Joining Leigh from Lindsays is Shona Tennant, Senior Solicitor, who worked with Leigh and who also specialises in IP and the Education Sector. Leigh and Shona will join Anderson Strathern’s Education Group which is already top ranked by Chambers and Partners, the leading directory of the legal profession and whose reputation is based on the independence and objectivity of its research.

Chris McDowall has been assumed as a partner in the Employment and Pensions Unit in the firm’s Glasgow office. Anderson Strathern’s Employment and Pensions Unit is now amongst the largest, and most highly ranked by leading legal directories in Scotland, with five partners working in an eighteen strong team of highly skilled employment and pensions experts who advise on all aspects of employment law including contractual disputes, discrimination, harassment, business transfers, data protection, unfair dismissal claims, the status of agency workers and whistle-blowing as well as pensions, tax and benefits.
