Anderson Strathern has joined the elite 1% of UK companies that have achieved Investors in People Gold Status.  This award not only places Anderson Strathern within the ranks of the UK’s top companies, it puts the firm clearly at the top of the Scottish legal profession as the only Gold accredited law firm in Scotland.

The Gold award is recognised as an achievement of world-class best practice. It is regarded as the mark of a truly cutting-edge organisation operating at the very highest levels of people management practice.

Following the assessment Anderson Strathern was commended as a business where “people are proud to say they are part of the organisation and are clear about how they contribute to its success”, a business where “top managers lead by example with a strong vision” and where there is “a well understood purpose, supported by strong values, a clear direction and focus with high levels of empowerment and ownership”. 

The IIP assessor identified particular areas of strengths including excellent training and development opportunities and the supportive and caring culture that the organisation provides, describing Anderson Strathern as “very professional” with “a strong sense of pride, ownership and responsibility”.

To achieve Gold Status Anderson Strathern was measured against 196 evidence requirements.  In 2008 the firm had attained Silver status.  Progression from Silver to Gold and increasing achievement to 173 evidence requirements, during a period of significant economic challenge within the legal sector and beyond, is a clear indication of the strength and excellence of the firm. The assessment was a comprehensive and rigorous process and to be awarded Gold is a huge accomplishment.
