  • Advising Buccleuch Estates in relation to the comprehensive development and regeneration of the south-east wedge of Edinburgh.  This comprises advising on a number of complex Section 75 Agreements to provide community infrastructure, including educational and transport infrastructure and affordable housing for a new settlement called Shawfair.  The development will comprise around 4,800 houses to house 1,500 people on the outskirts of Edinburgh.
  • Advised clients on numerous Section 75 Agreements in relation to affordable housing, open cast coal extraction, windfarming and occupancy restrictions for new houses in the countryside.  We have also advised clients in relation to negotiating  a discharge of a Section 75 Agreement which had been imposed on a new house in the countryside for an agricultural worker.
  • Advised clients on and completing planning agreements for landowners, developers and Local Authorities for all developments including, affordable housing provisions, public infrastructure provision, restoration and occupancy restrictions.
