- Instructed directly by Porsche Cars (GB) Limited and successfully defended an action against the company involving multiple parties - legal issues included contractual issues on jurisdiction and rights of relief or indemnity and a purchaser's title to reject goods - the action was eventually abandoned with Porsche receiving their court expenses.
- Acted for the defenders (in the case of Wedgwood v Wedgwood The Restaurant), a family owned restaurant. The pursuers, the well known ceramics manufacturer Wedgwood, were suing on the basis of the defenders breach of trademark and passing off. The pursuer sought interdict and damages. We successfully argued that the Trade Mark case was incompetent and reached a negotiated settlement, which resulted in the pursuers abandoning the action and being held liable to the defenders for the expenses of the action.
