Robin Stimpson
Robin is a partner, Head of our Residential Property department and acts as Head of Quality responsible for promoting the firm’s quality accreditations currently Investors in People, ISO9001 (Quality), ISO14001 (Environment) and OHSAS18001 (Health & Safety).
He handles a diverse range of property portfolios including heritage and conservation properties, rural and crofting matters and the sale and purchase of residential property, in particular residential developments. Robin is also accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in charity law advising on a wide range of governance issues.
For over 25 years, Robin has been legal adviser to the National Trust for Scotland, and for many years was a tutor at the University of Edinburgh Legal Practice Unit, mostly as a tutor in practical conveyancing but latterly as a tutor in legal practice as a business.
Robin is recognised as a 'Leader in their Field' by law directory Chambers UK 2012 for Charities (Scotland).
He is currently chairman of the ESPC which markets on behalf of solicitors approximately 90% of residential property in the Edinburgh area, worth over £2.5 billion per annum. He is also a Director of Investors in People Scotland and a Governor of Jewel & Esk College.
