Cecilia O'Connell
Cecilia is a senior solicitor in our Planning and Environment department and has experience in both contentious and non-contentious aspects of planning and environmental law.
Cecilia has extensive experience in town and country planning, environmental work and waste law. She also has experience in the drafting and negotiation of obligations under section 75 of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act and other planning agreements. She has had considerable involvement in various planning appeals, including those with significant environmental law aspects.
Cecilia is a member of the Association of Environmental Lawyers’ Environment and Sustainability Special Interest group and recently co-hosted and spoke at a major conference on the environmental aspects of renewable and waste infrastructure development. Cecilia is also a member of the United Kingdom Environmental Law Association and sits on the waste law sub-group.
